Talsperrenlauf Eupen is a 100 km ultramarathon in Eupen, Belgium. The 2026 edition takes place on 19 September 2026.
Autumn brings the most slip-prone trails of the year — wet leaves over roots and rock — plus a real chance of wind and rain, so grip and a rain layer matter.

One hundred kilometres is a serious undertaking for any runner. For most of the midpack it means 12 to 18 hours of effort, so part of the race will very likely happen in the dark — a headlamp (with spare batteries) is essential kit, and it is worth training on trails at night at least a few times before race day.
At this distance, strategy beats fitness. A written plan for fuelling, kit changes and low moments pays off, because low moments will come: almost every 100K contains at least one stretch where finishing feels impossible. It passes. Eat, slow down for twenty minutes, and let the race come back to you. Check the mandatory gear list early — longer Benelux ultras commonly require a rain jacket, foil blanket, phone and reserve food, and kit checks at registration are normal.
